Had an awesome time with friends! We visited the beautiful Lake District and the charming auld grey town, exploring local shops and stunning sights. The breakfast was top-notch, and Richard and Wendy were fantastic hosts, making us feel right at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone heading up this way!
Only downside was the uphill walk back from town, which wasn't too steep but might be a bit tiring after a long day of exploring.

I had a lovely stay while exploring the charming market town and the stunning Lake District. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delightful, especially the poached eggs. The hosts were incredibly helpful, suggesting local walks and making sure I had everything I needed. Just a heads up, the shower pressure was a bit on the weak side, which was a minor issue, but overall, it was a fantastic experience. The uphill walk back from town can be a little tiring after a long day, but it's manageable.

Had an amazing time with friends exploring this historic market town and the stunning Lake District. The place was cozy and the breakfast was top-notch. Just a heads up, the road is steep if you're walking, but it's manageable. Definitely recommend this spot for anyone visiting!
The shower in our room wasn't very powerful, which was a bit disappointing.
